For some, there is an excuse for everything.
For others, they don't need an excuse, life just presents obstacles for them.
and then there is those that don't let life, excuses, OR equipment stop them from getting a WOD in.
Here is the latest word from our deployed Crossfitter, Tom
(miss ya Tom)
FGB with some improvising.
Wall Ball: a basketball filled with water weighs 14.5 pounds. So that was good enough I guess.
SDHP: 2 - 40# dumbells...all I had
Box jumps: a wooden crate with some plywood strapped to the top. Just a shade under 20 inches. I'll call it 19.5
Push Press: Same 40# dumbells
Rowing machine: no options here, so I subbed in Sit ups.
Totals reps: 227
NICE JOB TOM!! Keep up the great work.
ON ANOTHER NOTE
WE WANT TO GIVE A BIG SHOUT OUT
to our new members for making it through their first couple of nights like true CrossFitters!!
A round of applause to
Fran who is making it in more than once a week!!!
Brendan from coming back from the darkside.
Angela our youngest teenager coming all the way down to Albany to kick butt on these WODs. She is a true athlete... and did I mention STRONG!
A big thanks goes out tonight to Amy for being a great help in settings things up for the WOD. Bob for being the mathematician, ooohhh what I would do to have several of him. (especially for our morning class) LOL
