This week's spotlight athlete is Morgan Weinberg. She is usually a 6:00 am class attendee, but you will often see her on Saturday mornings and in the competitor's class as well!
1. When/Why did you first start doing CrossFit?
I joined Crossfit Beyond in May of 2012 after seeing the Living Social coupon. Had thought about trying crossfit for months and months, but figured I should be content with the regular gym/running thing. But I was so wrong!
2. What fitness activities were you doing before?
Prior to crossfit I jogged, played soccer and lifted weights at the gym. Looking back, it wasn't really lifting at all...what a waste of time! Good people watching though.
3. What results have you seen since you joined CrossFit Beyond?
Since starting crossfit I've gotten so much stronger and I love it! Nothing is better than feeling strong and healthy.
4. What do you like most about CF?
One of my favorite things about crossfit, which seems to be universal in the crossfit world, is the sense of team and camaraderie. Another favorite thing is the accomplishment you feel after you've done a workout at the heaviest weight you can do, thinking you may not even finish it, but then getting through it and actually looking forward to the next challenge!
5. What is your favorite CF exercise?
I love pull-ups.
6. Your least favorite?
Not a fan of deadlifts because I do the lift incorrectly and it hurts my back! Or those sumo deadlift high pulls either.
7. What CF accomplishment are you currently most proud of?
I was ecstatic getting off the bands, and get so excited when other people transition off bands too.
8. What CF goal are you working towards?
