August Calendar of Events!!

From our on-ramp class August 8th, to our Summer Kids Camp Event on the 14th (volunteers still needed-sign up at the gym), and our Kettlebells 4 Kids Fundraiser and End of Summer Bash afterwards on the 29th, to yoga on Mondays, and Barbell club twice a week, we are super busy during the month of August at CrossFit Beyond!

Two September Events with Groupon!!

CrossFit Beyond is forming teams for two upcoming events in September! There is currently a Groupon available for both of these events! Save some money and don't miss out!

 

#1-Albany Urban Raid: This is our third year participating in this event and it is a lot of fun!  It is local and right in downtown Albany!Register under the team name- CrossFit Beyond and password- Sadie

#2-Vermont Beast Spartan Race-Many of our members have participated in Spartan Races before, so try it out whether it's your first time or 100th time! This is close by, right in Killington, Vermont!

**SAVE THE DATE- Saturday August 29th CrossFit Beyond is partnering up with the Kettlebells4kids organization to raise money for homeless children in New York State!

This is a HUGE fundraising event and WOD!

Registration is at 9:30am

Event begins at 10:00am

**Auction Donations-We need raffles prizes! If you or someone you know would be willing to donate a prize for our raffle please let us know. Anything from gift baskets, gift certificates, etc.

**Afterparty-Raise money and workout for an amazing cause and then hang out afterwords for our ANNUAL END OF SUMMER BASH!! Bring a dish or beverage to share! This will be a fun celebration of our hardwork and accomplishments in the past year!

 

**What exactly is Kettlebells4kids?

kettlebells4kids is a non-profit awareness and fundraising campaign created to help the 2.5 MILLION homeless children in our country.

If you are a CrossFitter, you believe that we can improve our community one person at a time. It starts with improving ourselves and then it becomes about helping others improve themselves. It is about Support. Motivation. Encouragement.

These are also things homeless children and their families need – someone who says “Hey, how can I help you? I know you can do this!”

Together, we can become Champions for homeless children.

**How your dollar helps...

Our goal at kettlebells4kids is to raise $2.5 million dollars to represent the 2.5 million children in our country without a home.

Money raised in your state, stays in your state! Individual donations made in each of the 50 states will support programs that help homeless children in those respective states.

kettlebells4kids has identified partners who currently work with homeless children in 40 of the 50 states, and we are currently assessing other programs in the remaining 10 states to support. Our current partners:

Summer Schedule Change!

There will be a slight change in our specialty class schedule for the summer. There will not be a Competitors Class during the summer months. Competitors Class will resume in September. Barbell Club will still be Thursday nights at 7:00pm and Sunday mornings at 10:00am.

 

 

Volunteers Needed on Friday August 14th!!

We are looking for volunteers to help out with our End of Summer Kids Camp Event on Friday, August 14th!

CrossFit Beyond is traveling to 20+ summer camps throughout Albany County from July 6th-August 13th, and bringing CrossFit to hundreds of children in the community.

Our mission is to provide youth with opportunities for success by setting healthy goals from a fitness perspective. We strive to provide health and fitness to hundreds of  children at over 20 locations throughout Albany County. This promotes a lifestyle filled with fun, health, and fitness, while bringing neighborhoods and communities together.

We are very excited and honored to be holding the end of summer camp event right here at CrossFit Beyond on Friday, August 14th! We need your help!

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to help us set up, breakdown, work the event, or make a whole day of it and help out with everything.

The event will run from 10am-2pm and we will need volunteers from 7am-3pm.

Any amount of time that you can donate is greatly appreciated, whether it be for an hour or for the entire day! Lunch will be provided for all volunteers :)
