This week's "Athlete Spotlight" is Matt Hickling! (I have to use the last name, since we have so many Matt's now at the box) Most people have seen Matt, since he often switches up which class he attends.
When/Why did you start CrossFit? I started CrossFit in June of this year (5 months ago). I had just finished school and was doing P90X2/insanity/crossfit.com workouts at home in between studying to keep me sane! My best friend Narodie (by the way, they've been friends since they were little!) and I realized that CrossFit Beyond was an actual business and not just a sign and decided to check it out. After our first WOD of 21-18-15-12-9-6-3 of back squats (#135) and pull-ups I became hooked!
What's you favorite WOD/movement? "Linda" or "Wilmot"
What's your least favorite WOD/movement? anything with handstand push-ups of handstand walks!
Tell us 3 random facts about you: 1) I'm a male nurse. 2) I'm pretty sure I have un-diagnosed OCD 3) I am secretly interested in dance shows and movies because I really wish I could be a good dancer!
