Well we all thought yesterday's Canadian Crippler was going to kick our butt but it wasn't yesterday's WOD with its scary name it was today's WOD "Small" that took the athletes by surprise.
U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Marc Small, 29, of Collegeville, PA, assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), based in Fort Bragg, NC, died on February 12, 2009, from wounds sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with a rocket-propelled grenade launcher and small arms fire in Faramuz, Afghanistan.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Murray and Karen, mother and stepfather, Mary and Peter MacFarland, and fiancee Amanda Charney.
Three rounds of:
Row 1000 meters
50 Box jumps, 24" box
Run 800 meters
Clearly you can not judge a WOD by it's name!!
Wonderful job CrossFit Beyond on hitting this WOD..... giving it your all.
HUGE THANKS goes out to Heather and Chris for helping out with our PAL Olympics here at CrossFit Beyond yesterday. We could not have made that go as smooth as it did without you! We had games, hurdles, sprinting, shot put and rowing events for 20 kids ranging in age from 4-10. Ending the events with frozen pops, a slide show of the weeks event and an awards ceremony with medals and ribbons. That was not an easy task. Thank you for being such a great support..
