This week's Spotlight Athlete is Lindsay! Lindsay is usually a morning class attendee and can also be seen during weekend classes as well! Read on to learn more about Lindsay's awesome story!
When/Why did you first start doing CrossFit?
I joined the Crossfit community one year ago in November of 2013. I started Crossfit because I was sick of the same routine. I wanted to become stronger and needed some motivation. I am currently in graduate school and Crossfit makes working out easy and rewarding. I just show up, do the WOD and see results. I also love the fact that I never get bored with the workouts.
What fitness activities were you doing before?
I used to workout 3-4 days a week at Best Fitness. Occasionally, I would take a spin class.
What results have you seen since you joined CrossFit Beyond?
I was able to do my first pull up EVER after 4months at Beyond. I have found new ways to challenge myself and can’t believe the overall strength I have acquired the past year.
What do you like most about CrossFit Beyond?
I really enjoy the atmosphere! It’s a cool group of people from all walks of life, with all different skill sets, trying to accomplish the same fitness goals.
What is your favorite CF exercise?
DEADLIFTS and rope climbs
Your least favorite?
What CF accomplishment are you currently most proud of?
I am most proud of the amount of push-ups I can do and the fact that I can do a pull up!
What CF goal are you working towards?
I am working on my pull-ups-so I can learn how to kip! Another goal: handstand walking!
