Spotlight Athlete-Maureen!!


This week's Spotlight Athlete is Maureen! Maureen is typically an evening class attendee, and you will also find her as a regular during the weekend classes. Read on to learn more about Maureen's story of success with CrossFit!

When/Why did you first start doing CrossFit?

I began cross fitting in May, 2012. I was looking for something new and wanted to incorporate more weight training in my routine.


What fitness activities were you doing before?

I would go to Planet Fitness 5 days a week and alternate between the same running and free wights routine. 


What results have you seen since you joined CrossFit Beyond?

I have more endurance and muscle definition.


What do you like most about CrossFit Beyond?

I love the small community. 


What is your favorite CF exercise? Your least favorite?

I love burpees and always enjoy a good hill run. My least favorite exercise is deadlifts. 


What CF accomplishment are you currently most proud of?

I have 3 strict pull ups!


What CF goal are you working towards? 

I would love to be able to ditch the red band altogether and do pull ups during a WOD.
